I wasn’t prepared for just how dark the story would get, and yet somehow the light tone continued throughout the book and made it work. Her new job takes her to the dangerous Stark Street where she crosses paths with some dangerous individuals. She is funny and smart but has a lot to learn about being a bounty hunter. There is no denying that Stephanie is a strong female lead. With characters that warm your heart, and make you feel for their problems. "Forever and a day" is a light hearted romance that hooks the reader from the first page. But if you are anything like me, and can't not start from the beginning then go check out "Simply Irresistible". There was barely any mention of previous characters so this book is as good a place to start as any. I have read "Simply Irresistible" the first Lucky Harbor novel so I was familiar with the small town of Lucky Harbor. This book is number six but can be read as a standalone. I loved "Forever and a Day" Jill Shalvis sure knows how to write a fun contemporary romance with just enough pull for the reader to instantly fall in love with the characters. ![]() |
